There are two main types of commercial portable air conditioners: Air Cooled and Water Cooled. Air Cooled units have vents that must be funneled outside of the room or area that needs to be cooled. Air-cooled units work well as a computer or server room air conditioner. For sealed rooms such as laboratories or hospital operating rooms it may be impossible to duct hot air exhaust from the room being cooled. Under these circumstances a Water Cooled model may be appropriate.
